Well this is my second big challenge since leaving Perth. The first was to work out why John had set up my computer so I could only email Catherine! Think that is fixed now so I have moved on to trying to write on a blog (with some help from Christo). By the way, Christo, is it possible to change the apostrophe in the title! Ask your Mum.
No bikes yet - just beautiful spring weather in Joburg, staying with Margaret and Campbell. Done a bit of tennis and walking but mostly eating and drinking - lunch at the Country Club with James and Christine and Andrew and Twylla. Will try and include some photos but that could be a bit beyond me. Then last night Rob and I played tennis against Campbell and CJ which was fun except there was quite a lot of ball tampering by the South Africans. Then we had an excellent dinner at home with Margaret, Campbell, CJ and Lyn.
So our next challenge (once we have mastered this) will be to reduce our luggage to a manageable amount for our 2 months in Europe. We managed to get charged for excess baggage on our way here which is pretty stupid I suppose.

Wow Gill - thats awesome. You are a closet geek, heaven help Mark Zuckerberg when you "come out".
ReplyDeleteThe trick now will be to find wifi spots - but I am sure Europe will be ahead of us. I am in the center of Brisbane and there is a distinct lack of accessable electronic waves.
I will make sure all Saturday morning riders have access to this - so no pressure but "we will be watching!"

I am not convinced that I will write this way rather then email but we will see!! Thanks for all the wonderful photos. This is such a great way to keep contact I think. I also love the fact that you are all having a turn! Douglas and I both feel that we would probably prefer to be on one of the barges you are passing - we could chuck beers etc at you at our pleasure or when you opened a lock for us!!!I think John is coming for dinner tonight. Nick gets back from Bali (hopefully) so should be fun!!
